Ring Rescue Provides a Solution for a Pressing ER Problem

Founded in 2018, Ring Rescue has developed specialized medical device solutions to address a surprisingly common challenge in healthcare — the safe removal of stuck rings. An estimated 55% of the adult population wears rings, and finger swelling can cause a snug ring to become stuck, escalating into a finger-threatening emergency affecting hundreds of thousands of patients annually across North America.

Further complicating the problem is the rise in popularity of modern, ultra-durable ring materials. In essence, rings have changed while removal devices have not — creating a clear gap in care that Ring Rescue has addressed. Their technology was recently featured on HBO Max's The Pitt.
